What is the Freshwater Storm Fall Recruitng Program?
The program is specifically designed for our uncommitted seniors whose goal is to play college baseball. Players will be placed on one of two teams and they will meet five Sundays throughout the fall to showcase their skills directly in front of a different group of college coaches at each event. It’s far and away our most powerful recruiting tool when it comes to getting our players committed. 89-percent of our healthy 2026 grads who were full-time participants in our 2025 program will be playing college baseball this coming season, and this program is obviously a major reason why.

Schedule:
September 13: New Smyrna Beach
September 27: Palm Coast
October 11: New Smyrna Beach
October 25: Deltona
November 15: Ormond Beach

Note: All of the events will take place on high school fields.
2nd Note: None of these events will interfere with anything high school teams are doing during the week.

What happens at a typical recruiting event?
Players will stretch, throw and hit in the cages just like before any other game. They will then take on-field BP, take on-field I/O and then play a doubleheader directly in front of a group of college coaches that will be sitting under a tent behind home plate watching everything. An event typically goes from 10am-2pm.

Why an entire program (5 separate events) is far superior to one big one?
Has your son ever had a day where he went 0-for-4 or made a couple errors or struggled with command or his fastball velocity is down? Yes, we all have. If he only has one day to showcase his skills in front of college coaches, having an off day could really limit his exposure to those coaches. With five different opportunities, he’s far more likely to have some really good days when he has multiple hits or makes every play on defense or has excellent command of all of his pitches or has a PR on pitching velocity.

What are the types of schools that will be at one of the events?
Coaches from 28 different schools – representing several different divisions of college baseball – attended our events last year. Below is a list of those schools and we anticipate having a similar list again this year.

Flagler College, Embry Riddle, Lynn University, Florida Tech, Edward Waters University, East Georgia State College, Abraham Baldwin, Warner University, Brewton-Parker University, New College of Florida, Webber University, Florida Memorial University, South Georgia State College, Daytona State College, St Johns River, College of Central Florida, Polk State, Hillsborough CC, Palm Beach State, Lake Sumter State, Florida State College at Jacksonville, Eastern Florida, Santa Fe, St. Petersburg College, Seminole State, John Melvin Christian, Trinity College and Daytona Beach Christian.

What other schools do we have connections with?
College coaches from over 250 schools follow us on Twitter as a way to learn about and recruit out players. Those schools range from the University of Florida to small Division 3 schools in the Northeast. You can read about some here: https://freshwaterstorm.com/connections/

How many players will be on the roster?
We plan to have around 12 position players and 4 POs on each team. That means we expect to have around 32 total players in the program. There are no subs during the games – everyone plays and hits and all pitchers (including 2-ways) will pitch at every event. The scores of the games are irrelevent in this program, and the primary goal is to get as many of our players recruited as possible.

What’s the cost to play and what all is included? The cost for 2-way players is just $1,200 and the cost for POs and position players is just $900. Payment plans are available.  That cost includes a jersey, playing in front of 25+ college coaches throughout the fall, and being actively promoted on social media for as long as you’re still uncommitted. We will absolutely put the combination of all of these things and our cost up against anyone. For most players, there will be no hotel costs involved for the entire fall program.

Why is it so important for players to have someone actively promoting them to college coaches in the spring?
The overwhelming majority of players who will play college baseball in the 2027 class will make their college commitments in the spring. A lot of our players will make their commitments in the fall but for a lot of others, the process will carry into the spring. We’ve attached some examples of players who participated in our fall program but were still uncommitted going into their senior spring. We actively promoted through the spring and they ended up making their college commitments to Florida schools in the spring.
